  • What inspires your art?
    My art is inspired by my own experiences and emotions, as well as the desire to explore the enigmatic nature of the human psyche. I find great inspiration in nature and its patterns of showing and creating its own symphony.
  • What themes do you explore in your art?
    I explore themes such as vulnerability, power dynamics, trust, sensuality and human connection. I also integrate the occult and symbolic props into my work to add depth and mystique to it.
  • How does your gender identity and sexual orientation influence your art?
    My gender identity and sexual orientation are an integral part of my identity and therefore influence my art in various ways. For example, I may explore themes related to gender identity, sexuality, and relationships in my art.
  • Who are you and what kind of art do you create?
    I am Matija Vid Peček Black, a conceptual rope artist, performer, and photographer based in Zagreb, Croatia. My art combines the aesthetics of rope art with darkness, introspection, and emotional exploration.
  • What is your creative process like?
    My creative process involves a lot of introspection and experimentation. I often start with a concept or theme inside of my mind or dreams, and then explore different ways to express it through my art.
  • How long is the waiting list for the artistic photoshoot?
    The waiting list depends on the season, but roughly it is between three weeks up to a month. Depending on the needs for the photoshoot - theme and subjects, location, set and or props.
  • How can I purchase your art?
    You can purchase my art through my personal website, RedBubble or by contacting me directly. I also participate in exhibitions and events, which may offer opportunities to purchase my work.
  • Can I bring a plus one to our Artistic Photoshoot?
    Yes, absolutely! I usually work alone with a model, but if you feel more relaxed, you can bring a friend with you who is open-minded and tolerant.

    Financial support is important for artists because it allows us to continue creating and sharing our work with the world. It can help cover the costs of materials, studio space, and other expenses associated with creating art, as well as living expenses. Talent is also a skill that you build and invest in, so it is a part of the value. If we, as an artist community, want to grow, we need to invest in our skills.

    You can support my art financially by becoming a patron on Patreon, which is, in my opinion, the best way. Purchasing my products on Big Cartel or hiring me for artistic photoshoots are also great options. Additionally, you can donate to me through PayPal.
  • Where is the location of (most of) the photoshoots?
    I work in my personal house in the suburbs, which acts as my working studio. I'm happy to say that it's in a beautiful private location near the forest. I’m also available to be hired for on-location photoshoots because I work with natural light.
  • How can I propose a collaboration with you?
    If you are interested in collaborating with me, please send me a detailed proposal outlining the scope of the collaboration, the potential benefits, and any other relevant information. I will review the proposal and get back to you if I am interested in moving forward.
  • Do you have any advice for other LGBTQ+ artists?
    My advice for other LGBTQ+ artists is to embrace your identity and use it as a source of inspiration for your art. Don't be afraid to explore themes related to gender identity and sexuality, and find a community of other LGBTQ+ artists who can support and inspire you.
  • Do you collaborate with other artists?
    I only collaborate with other artists if the collaboration has extreme energetic and monetary value in the long run. This means that I am very selective about the collaborations I engage in.
  • What types of collaborations are you interested in?
    I am interested in collaborations that push the boundaries of my art and allow me to explore new themes and concepts. I am also interested in collaborations that have the potential to reach a wider audience and promote my work.
  • How do you determine whether a collaboration has value?
    I consider a variety of factors when evaluating a potential collaboration, including the potential for creative synergy, the potential for financial gain, and the potential for long-term benefits.
